Santiago offers a wide range of places to visit, such as: museums, natural parks, different architectural neighbourhoods, leisure centre, food services, sport centre and many other places as any other world capital city. At the same time, Santiago is the first step to travel around the country, where you will find the most fascinating natural landscapes of the world. Santiago:

Barrio Lastarria It is located next to Santa Lucia hill and it is well known as the Historic and Cultural district for it beautiful architecture, restaurants, pubs, coffees and cultural places. Every weekend becomes an exciting place where local souvenir fairy set up and you can find among others, many interesting books. Subway - Universidad Catolica.

Providencia: Its strategic location makes this area an exciting place, with easy access for shopping and transport. It is well known for its Music shops, modern shopping centres and many other services. A new and emergent area, is Manuel Montt Street, where you will find restaurants, bars, clubs, winestore, and libraries.

Bellavista: This is one of the most important cultural and leisure centre. Old houses renovated with different colours are nowadays jewellery stores, restaurants, pubs, coffees, theatre hall and handcrafts stores. This area is located at San Cristobal foothill, famous for its sightseeing of the city, the zoo park, cable railway, pools, beautiful parks for trekking . It is often visited by intellectual and artist people. Our Literature Nobel Reward. Pablo Neruda lived next to this area, actually is a museum-house called “ La Chascona”. Subway – Baquedano.

Brasil/Cummnings: Used to be an aristocratic and traditional neighbourhood of the late XIX Century of Santiago. Nowadays it concentrate important cultural centre such as: Matucana 100, Santiago’s Library and museum as: Quinta Normal, Aeronautic Museum among others. At Brasil and Yungay Square you will find pubs and restaurants with a wide range of foods and hard and soft drinks (some of them with a wide range of beers). Concha y Toro is situated among Brasil Avenue and Matucana and have many good performances which will surprise you. Quinta Normal Park is and old last century park where you will find many Museums such as: Art and Science and the modern Santiago Library open to the public. Las Condes and Vitacura:These are the neighbourhoods with the major green areas of Santiago where you will find a wide range of good quality services, cultural attractions, malls and a complete public and private infrastructure which becomes the most important urban centre for visiting, shopping and business in Santiago. At El Bosque Norte and Isidora Goyenechea streets you will find the most important restaurants and coffees of our country. At Vitacura area you will find the most important ONG’s centre of Latin America such as: CEPAL – OIT – ONU and ESSO(European Astronomic Investigation Organization).  Subway - Tobalaba / El golf.

Surroundings:

Cajón del Maipo: Among de Andes mountains you will have one of the most beautiful landscapes as: Volcanoes, hot waters, rivers, falls. Different outdoors activities you can carry out, such as: trekking, rafting, canopying, horse back ride, free climbing, paragliding, skiing, etc, and also beautiful flora and fauna observations. Good Chilean and international gastronomy as well.

Vineyards: The fertile valleys of the central zone have developed the wine industry at the highest world level. Through this route you will visit the most famous vineyards of the Maipo, Casablanca (west of Santiago) and Colchagua (south of Santiago) Valley. You can have a tour through the large Chilean houses, warehouse, wine testing and good Chilean food and/or give lodge in any of these houses. Natural Reserves : As Santiago is located between a chain of mountain, exists many places converted in natural reserves, with different flora and fauna as well as different geographical relief. Some of them are: Santuario de la Naturaleza (El Arrayan), Santuario de la Naturaleza Yerba Loca (Road to Farrelones), Rio Clarillo National Reserve (Pirque), La Campana National Park (V region) among others.

Ski Centre: Ski season is from June to September. Santiago is lucky to be nearby (one hour and half) to five excellent winter centre. Our Andes mountains are impressive with their high ground covered with snow. The most famous ski centre are: Portillo, Valle Nevado, El Colorado and La Parva, all of them with and excellent infrastructure and well equipment that enhance them to offer lodge in, food, ski training and night leisure. In the south of Chile you will find a large and finest category Ski Centre as: Termas de Chillan, Pucon, Antillanca among others. At the front desk of the Hostel request for more options.

San Pedro de Atacama: Is the most important place for tourism in Chile. It is about 1.600 km to the north of Santiago. One of its special features is to be located in the most dry dessert of the world with over 3.000 mts height. Out of town you can visit Atacama Salar, Geiser, Archaeological places, etc. Nowadays it is also been known for its prestigious astronomic activities such as ALMA project, the biggest radio telescope of the world.
All over the world tourists visits this town and surroundings. There are many luxury hotels and hostels with their local gastronomy.

National Park Torres del Paine: It is situated at the very south of Chile (Patagonia). It is one of the most visited park. Declared by UNESCO  the Biosphere Reserve.  By itself has its own wild flora and fauna, lakes, glaciers. You will find many path for trekking and places for camping as well as hotels that do not interfere with the ecosystem.

Easter Island: Being the loneliest island in the world, it possesses the mysticism of the Polynesia, which until this day is cherished by its no more than 4000 inhabitants. In 1995 the island was declared world heritage by the UNESCO. Not only does its history mesmerize us but also its outstanding geography, surrounded by stunning volcano craters and mythical monuments called Moais, the island counts with white sand beaches and a rich cousin made up mostly of seafood (lobster and tuna). Unfortunately the island only has a couple of places to stay, that’s why we advice you to book your reservations before traveling there, and also bear in mind that the only way to get there is by a 6 hour flight from Santiago.
